potted 2^nd year, 4-8 inches tall, sold in sets of two plants. Very hardy, mostly non-native hybrid evergreen shrub. Height 6 to 10 feet. Spread 5 to 8 feet. Proven hardy for Pittsburgh climate. Leaves are dark, lustrous green all year. Flowers are bright red with darker spots that may fade to deep pink, up to 5 in. wide.  Prune after flowering. Plant in full sun in good, well-drained soil. Protect the first winter with oak leaves, straw or grass.
